A national honor recognizing automotive leadership, family values, and a lasting commitment to community service.
Regal Nissan is proud to announce that Bo Scott, Dealer Principal of Regal Nissan in Roswell, Georgia, has been nominated for the 2027 TIME Dealer of the Year award, one of the automotive industry’s most prestigious honors recognizing excellence in dealership leadership and community involvement.
Announced by TIME on October 14, 2026, Scott is one of just 48 dealer nominees selected from more than 20,000 dealerships nationwide. He was nominated by the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association and will be recognized alongside fellow nominees at the 110th annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show in Orlando, Florida, on February 19, 2027.
For Scott, this recognition reflects the values that have guided Regal Nissan for generations: honesty, accountability, hard work, and treating every customer with fairness and respect.
A Family Legacy Built on Trust
Regal Nissan’s story began in 1980, when Scott’s father, Charles C. Scott, founded the business as Regal Datsun. After serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1990, Bo returned home to join the family dealership, carrying forward the principles instilled in him by his father and reinforced through his military service.
“My father taught me a great deal about cars and business, but his greatest lessons were about people,” Scott said. “He believed customers deserved honesty, fairness and respect. After more than three decades in the business, I believe that lesson more strongly than ever.”
Today, the family legacy continues into its third generation, with Scott’s son, Holden, working in the business. For Scott, building a successful dealership has always meant more than selling and servicing vehicles. It means building lasting relationships with customers, investing in employees, and creating a business the family and community can be proud of.
Investing in People and the Customer Experience
Regal Nissan has continued to evolve while remaining committed to its founding values. In 2017, the dealership completed a multimillion-dollar reconstruction of its Roswell facility, remaining open throughout the nearly yearlong project to continue serving its customers.
The investment created a modern facility designed to enhance the experience for both customers and employees. Regal Nissan also invests in its team by supporting manufacturer training, technician education, and professional development opportunities.
Scott believes dealerships play an important role in creating career opportunities, developing future leaders, and helping employees build better lives for themselves and their families.
That philosophy extends to the customer experience. At Regal Nissan, the goal is to build relationships that last long after a vehicle purchase, with a team that takes personal responsibility for treating customers honestly and fairly.
A Commitment to the Community
Community service has been a defining part of Scott’s leadership. Throughout his career, he has supported initiatives that help children, families, and local organizations.
During his leadership of the Metro Atlanta Automobile Dealers Association, where he served as chairman from 2010 to 2011, the organization partnered with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Participating dealerships throughout metro Atlanta became toy collection locations, helping bring holiday joy to local children.
Scott’s service also extends to Crossroads of Life Baptist Church, where he has served as chairman of the Deacon Board since 2018, taught an adult couples Sunday school class since 2001, and helped lead the church’s Vacation Bible School alongside his wife since 2002.
Beyond his church involvement, Scott has supported Habitat for Humanity, local churches and Christian ministries, high school athletic programs, humane societies, pet-adoption organizations, first responders, and other community initiatives.
Regal Nissan encourages its employees to get involved in the organizations and causes that matter to them, including schools, youth sports, charitable events, and neighborhood programs.
As Scott explains, a successful business has a responsibility to give back to the community that supports it.
Leadership That Makes a Difference
Scott’s commitment to the automotive industry extends beyond Regal Nissan. He has served on the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association’s board of directors since 2017 and served as its chairman from 2024 to 2025. He has also served on Nissan’s Regional Dealer Advisory Board and Product Committee.
His industry accomplishments include multiple Nissan Awards of Excellence, the 2022 Nissan Global Award, 2021 Dealer of Distinction recognition, and recognition as the Southeast region’s highest-ranked Nissan dealership for customer-service satisfaction in 2021.
The TIME Dealer of the Year nomination brings together the many aspects of Scott’s leadership: a commitment to customers, investment in employees, dedication to the automotive industry, and meaningful service to the community.
“This nomination is an incredible honor, and I am grateful to represent our employees, customers, family and Georgia’s automotive community,” Scott said. “Regal Nissan’s success has always been built on relationships, personal accountability and treating people honestly, fairly and with respect.”
Celebrating a Well-Deserved Recognition
At Regal Nissan, we believe the best measure of success is not just what a business achieves, but the positive difference it makes for the people it serves.
Bo Scott’s nomination for the 2027 TIME Dealer of the Year award recognizes a career shaped by family values, industry leadership, and a genuine commitment to helping others. It is an honor that reflects not only his personal dedication, but also the employees, customers, family members, and community who have been part of the Regal Nissan story.
Please join us in congratulating Bo Scott on this outstanding national recognition.
